This project is dedicated to all of them that own an Oberheim Matrix 1000 and want to create their own sounds in a faster way...forget mouse dragging and all that stuff. You'll be able to control your Matrix 1000 using a midi controller.
You could say: well, what's new?
Once the MControl is set up, everything you'll do on your controller will be reflected on the MControl and viceversa. The MControl becomes a companion for your controller and makes the use of the Matrix 1000 easier than ever.
The MControl is a Java application developed on Mac OS X but can run on any OS that supports Java.
This is a beta version and some functions are not fully working (they haven't been implemented yet). It's already possible to store patches and recall them, but it's not possible to save the controller preset. The learn mode only works for the knobs (switches to be implemented).
If you want to have more info or want to try the MControl, just send an email at: guga@gugabox.com.
I'm still working on a 'wee' manual for it and a MIDI chart.
If you own a PC, you can also check Matrix 2001. I haven't been able to try it out, but for what it says on the website it should work fine...just one thing: it's not free.
Samples of the Matrix 1000 used with the MControl will be uploaded as soon as possible.
